Last month we said goodbye (for now!) to our brilliant Aberdeen Summer Intern, Muzna Khan, who is heading back to university for her third year of studies in BEng Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
Over the past few months, she’s made a real impact and gained valuable hands-on experience across a range of engineering and design tasks, including:
🔹 Gaining insight into our internal processes, procedures, and engineering workflows
🔹 Developing technical skills in 3D modelling and drawing standards using SolidWorks and PDM
🔹 Understood principles of rigging and lifting calculations
🔹 Learning about key industry standards including DNV, ISO, and BS
🔹 Supporting reverse engineering of Claxton products and producing parts/drawings for spares
🔹 Participating in design reviews and engineering pack creation
🔹 Building confidence in communication, documentation, and presenting technical work
It’s been a pleasure having her on the team — her curiosity, dedication, and enthusiasm have been truly appreciated.
