Subsea Infrastructure Removal
DeepOcean contracted Claxton Engineering Services to provide cutting services equipment & supporting offshore operations for the removal and recovery of subsea pipelines and umbilicals at the Banff and Kyle fields in the North Sea, Claxton equipment and personnel were based onboard the DeepOcean vessel Dina Star.
A total of 200 plus cuts were performed using the Claxton shears with this also being the first time using the “Pruning Blade” set up.
Claxton also performed over 300 pipe grab operations during the 21 days the project lasted for.
