Bespoke Diamond Wire Pull Saw Cutting & Removal

The Challenge

Due to sinking jacket foundation re-development of the subsea structure was required. This included the cutting and removal of out riggers and riser guard structure.

Most parts of the infrastructure were accessible for cutting with standard diamond wire and abrasive water jet, but due to the location and restricted space certain areas required an out of the box solution.

The Solution

Claxton’s Topside Diamond Wire Pull Saw was proposed to deal with the ‘difficult’ to reach areas which required cutting and removal. To ensure the project was a success Claxton designed clamping and wire routing frames to enable divers to locate wire at the cut locations.
