Claxton reveal results of first Decommissioning Industry Questionnaire
Claxton Engineering has revealed the results of their inaugural Decommissioning Industry Questionnaire, which was conducted in late 2015. The questionnaire, which ran for three weeks, invited experts from across the industry to share their thoughts on the industry as a whole, decommissioning opportunities for their business, and challenges they may face in the future.
Claxton has now made the results of the questionnaire available as a free download on their website.
Speaking on the launch of the Questionnaire Report, Brand & Marketing Manager Andy Norman said, “Despite the uncertainty that the low oil prices have brought to the oil and gas industry, it is clear from the report that decommissioning is in a healthy and confident position going forward.”
“While respondents highlighted the impact the current oil prices were having on their business and the industry as a whole, the majority believe that decommissioning is set for a period of high growth over the next five years.”
Amongst the other topics in the questionnaire, respondents were asked for their opinions on Governments and industry bodies, ways to improve the skills gap, and how major decommissioning activities may change in cost over the next 12 months.
