OUR SOLUTION:

Claxton called on our large inventory of riser equipment – which includes a rental inventory of over 4,000 supporting items – and in-house design to deliver a complete package for the 6-well campaign.

The high-pressure flanged riser system utilised custom designed (make-up time optimised) flanges and high-grade material pipe (X65 & X80) to offer a full bore, 5,000 psi SWP system from the subsea wellhead to the surface BOP.

Continuous improvement: We supplied the riser joints pre-studded – taking the job off the critical path and reducing running time and handling. We’ve already identified further improvements to this process for future projects.

 The project successfully demonstrated ‘in field’ performance of new build equipment including the Claxton-designed NT-2 hydraulic riser handling tool, bolt tensioning systems and riser spider assembly.
