Rigless abandonment services from Claxton
Claxton conducted the first rigless abandonment in the North Sea on the Leman field – a truly unique project as Bob Claxton, founder of the company, installed the well in question and Dannie Claxton, son of Bob, decommissioned it over 30 years later.
Since this project it has become widely accepted that operators can derive major cost efficiencies from rigless decommissioning and slot recovery operations. However, the absence of a rig and limited crane facilities on many platforms pose a series of unique technical challenges.
Claxton has stepped up to the plate in this challenging and growing market by developing a range of equipment and techniques to facilitate successful rigless processes.
The result of this investment in, and commitment to, meeting clients operating needs is that Claxton has a proven track record of safety, innovation and delivery in rigless operations.
